As a test, I would drag the PC in and connect it to the TV directly and see if the issue persists. If it does then you can be pretty sure the issue is with your TV settings. If it doesn't it still might be the TV settings (RTX 3000-series GPUs should have ALLM enabled automatically if your TV supports it. kilters.

Because miracast is not meant for gaming, as you have found out and there's no real way around that except to buy a device that'll plug into the TV that's meant for game streaming, or you can find a few wired ways to connect the PC up to the TV (HDMI to ethernet to HDMI is a thing). 1. japzone.
A wired connection means that it should be wired from Link --> Router --> PC all the way. #1. Bad Whippet 11. Juni 2015 um 3:02. Dang! Well, thanks for confirming this. Something to remove from my wishlist then. I already have a 50ft HDMI cable so I can use that.
if you have a wired 360 oe ps3 / ps4 pad it will work. Its such a stupid design not having a power button of any kind on the Link. Been so pi*sed off with little things like this. Streaming the games is perfect. But i am looking at the Nvidia Shield Tv also. I think my bluetooth PS4 pad worked but it ended up turning my PS4 on as well.
How to Set Up and Use Steam Link. First things first: you'll need to install the app on your phone or tablet. So go ahead and do that now. Next, you'll need to set up streaming on your PC. Fire up the Steam client, and then click over to Steam > Settings. In the Settings menu, choose the "In-Home Streaming" option.
Everytime when I want to play on TV, I need unpair bluetooth connection, re-pair and then controller should work correctly with Steam Link app. Thx for the tip. This is the only option for me right now. #3. Newbell Nov 12, 2019 @ 8:29pm. Originally posted by sergisqb: Originally posted by SNW ๖Finsku:
I own a Steam Link and was excited at the idea of replacing it with this new Chomecast with Google TV. The Steam Link app was completely un-usable for me. I was getting the red circle on the bottom-right, about 3fps (with heavy artefacting) on the Steam main menu (forget booting a game!) and the stream would cut out to the Steam Link app "ready
For TV if your tv is smart enough to use ethernet/wifi 5gz and install android apps, you can just install official steam link app, which i suppose you already did. Steam link hardware is easier to use, obviously and good for older/simplier tvs. is big enough and hangs on the opposing wall from the window.
Haven't tested the app itself out yet in the Quest 1 but I modded the apk so you could install it on an android device with a lower SDK (like the quest 1), and I can confirm Steam Link has successfully been installed on my quest 1. Here's a link to my modded apk, hope it works for you!
on host, steam -> settings -> remote play -> [pair steam link] if the link app is asking for a code. enter the pin you set on host. sometimes un-pairing all from host fixes things, or resetting link app or removing devices from link app (reinstall app on mobile) Last edited by _I_ ; Mar 9, 2023 @ 1:44am. #3.
I stream games from my PC to my living room TV. I was using a steam link device, but yesterday I switched to the steam link app on my Samsung smart TV to cut down on unneeded hardware. It works for the most part, but there are some games (e.g. Grim Dawn) that use a mouse cursor that had previously controlled with the R-pad on the steam controller.
After logging in, select the three-dotted option line situated in the top-right corner of your Desktop screen. Step IV: Click on the Cast option from the dropdown menu. Step V: Your Desktop will show you the available Chromecasting devices nearby. Select your TV’s name, and now you will be able to enjoy your games on the big screen.
